Research focus
Research in this field of materials science focuses on the preparation and characterization of materials for nonlinear optics and proton conductors (the group of Prof. Němec).
On the other side, research interests extend to actual nanomaterials – i.e., preparation and processing of new materials, mostly oxides, with potential applications in high temperature ceramics, nuclear research, and industry or solid oxide fuel cells (group of Dr. Tyrpekl).
Moreover, the material research is extended by studying multifunctional materials and nanoparticles within the context of fundamental research and potential biomedical and technological applications (group of Dr. Zákutná and Dr. Nicoletta Rusta).
