Two prestige prizes were given to our talented student!

We are proud of our student BSc. Daniela Veronika Uríková is a very talented, growing young scientist working in the field of nuclear material chemistry with a specialization in spent fuel surrogates with embedded fission products. During her studies, she was for a 6-month internship at our partner and world-leading institution in Karlsruhe, Germany, where she performed her research for her bachelor's and master's thesis.

She received two prestige prizes:

The Josef Hlávka Award aims to support young students who are motivated to excel further in their field. On a yearly basis, the foundation "Nadání Josefa, Marie a Zdeňky Hlávkových" representatives meet selected students from various universities of Czechia at the Lužany Castle to hand out scholarships and diplomas of recognition.

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) was founded at the initiative of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Named after physicist and twice Nobel Prize laureate Marie Skłodowska-Curie, it aims to encourage young women to pursue a career in the nuclear-related field. It provides dedicated female students with scholarships for Master’s programs and an opportunity to pursue an internship facilitated by the IAEA. The MSCFP opens the door to further education and helps to build up a compact community of fellows and alumni.
