We have been allocated four days at a flexible small-angle neutron scattering instrument to perform half-polarized experiments on our samples :-).

Before starting our thought week, we visited a lovely city named OXFORD, and after we moved to the Harwell campus.

Afterward, on Monday, we started directly on full power! - Beginning with magnet tests and building guide field.

Then I passed all my knowledge on how to prepare samples, how the instrument works, safely search and close working areas, and how to operate experiments - they did not let themselves be bamboozled.

We have measured a lot of differently shaped and sized magnetic nanoparticles at various applied magnetic fields to uncover their magnetic morphology. We handled timely exhausting experiments very smoothly with a lot of fun! After a data reduction, we were flabbergasted by the results! ..... and had directly a short brainstorming on how to analyze acquired data and the basis of differences between SAXS and SANS.

After hard work done excellently without any unexpected problems, we handled the LARMOR instrument for other scientists, and we took two days off and made a trip to London :-).
